To create a world-class art gallery for the innovative Austin art scene.
For the new gallery, we constructed a main exhibition area, library, private office, and workspace. The design emphasizes the custom high-quality lighting by Anita Jorgensen Lighting Design, which provides both ambient and focused lighting to the exhibits. We also built a movable pivot wall in the main gallery to allow for the flexibility to accommodate various kinds of exhibits.
The library features warm millwork and a unique skylight that fills the center with natural light. The private office also benefits from a skylight and specialized USAI square can-lights to illuminate the owner’s precious personal collection. The workspace is designed for efficiency, featuring ample storage, space for daily activities, and a commissary for shows.
Throughout, the finishes are clean and minimalist, with matte concrete floors, rift sawn oak, and crisp gypsum reveals. Finally, the bathrooms are adorned floor to ceiling with handmade tiles, carrying the elegance through to every space.
A new luxurious, 2100-square-foot venue features sophisticated lighting and versatile display abilities for a variety of art exhibits.
