Texas Construction Company is a general building contractor that specializes in major residential remodels and new home construction. “Key to the company’s success,” according to company president Royce Flournoy, “is our ability to deliver what our customers want.” This brand promise has attracted Austin’s best architects and their clients, who value the company’s insights during project design and its expertise during construction.

Texas Construction Company has gained both regional and national attention in publications and social media, has received numerous awards, and is regularly featured on AIA home tours.

Royce founded Texas Construction Company in 1996. He knew very early that he loved the building trade—in fact, it’s in his DNA. His grandfather owned a lumber company and was a well-known builder and developer in Austin. Continuing this family tradition, Royce is committed to serving the city’s housing needs.

Royce loves working with a team of talented professionals who have a similar love for construction. For him, the team effort of creating personalized customer experiences to deliver custom projects for clients is the best part of the job.

When he’s not leading the company, Royce enjoys traveling all over the world and expanding his palette for good food.

After a few years, he began his construction management career in Dallas with a national homebuilder, and in 2007 an opportunity with a luxury home builder brought him to Austin. John holds a Master of Architecture degree and has more than 25 years of residential construction experience. As TCC’s director of construction, John is involved in all the different stages of a project, seeing the entire process through from conception to completion.
