Travis Heights Residence - Home Renovation
A budget conscience renovation was executed in order to keep an open and airy feel to the property. The addition of a French door in the dining room which included a rework of closets to be concealed as part of its nook added a streamlined architectural detail. Changing the wall and ceiling texture to smooth, in combination with the use of light paint colors and a dark re-finish of the floors created a spacious feel to the home. The fireplace received a new limestone hearth and cap. The kitchen was greatly improved by removing unusable cabinets, fur-downs, and installing a new tile backsplash which extended floor to ceiling. Last, a simple shelf system surface mounted to the tile allowed for clean storage of plates and dishes.
